So I’ve missed writing on this blog the last couple weeks.  But I think every now and then a break is necessary.  A way to refuel and renew a passion maybe.  I don’t know.

All I do know for sure is that I missed this little corner of the Internet.

As I’ve thought about the new year and what I wanted for this blog, I’ve decided on a few things that I want us to do together.

First of all, I’d like for you all to head over to my friend, Alece’s blog over at Grit and Glory and check out her new One Word site.  Be looking for my One Word post to add to her site in the next couple weeks.  I think it’s just a fantastic way to look at things.  So many times we try so hard to focus on everything going on around us, when really, maybe it’s just one thing that we’re supposed to be seeing and focusing on.  And the heart behind this project is the real deal.  So head on over, check it out and write your own post for the site!

Secondly, and this has to do with my One Word, but I’d like to build this community more and more.  In order for us to come together and be there for each other, we need to get to know each other.  I will be opening up the blog once a month to highlight a community member.  You will be able to send me a post just telling a little bit about yourself.  You won’t have to have a blog to do it.  You will just be able to email me your submission and we’ll go from there.  That way we can know who we’re talking with in the comments and go and visit their sites/blogs/Facebook pages and/or whatever else they have.  I think this could turn out to be a really fun time for our little tribe going on here.

And finally, I just want us to continue, as we’ve done over these last couple years, to encourage and strengthen each other.  You’re some of my favorite people in the world, and I’m so thankful for you and that you keep coming here to check in.

So what are some ideas that you have?  Are you going to write something for Alece’s One Word campaign?  If you do, share it on here, too!!!
