“Christians have no excuse not to have an appetite for the impossible.” ~ Alece Ronzino
My friend, Alece, posted the above quote on Facebook last week. I immediately asked her if I could use it, and she graciously agreed. And I’ve got to tell you: I’ve been thinking about it all weekend.
I’ve been thinking about it as I’m driving by and seeing the crops so desperately in need of rain and thinking how it’s impossible that there could even be a decent crop out of this drought.
I’ve been thinking about it as I’ve been sitting at my computer thinking it’s completely impossible to capture the right words that will speak exactly what I want to say.
And I’ve been thinking about it as I dream and plan for my future thinking that it’s impossible to get from point A to point B in any amount of time.
But I don’t want to do “impossible” any longer.
We’ve let fear get in the way for far too long.
We’ve let it dictate the choices we made just because someone says it can’t be done. We get scared and we forget that we serve this incredible God that can do and does impossible things. Most of the time we get in the way of the plans that have been laid out before us, and we just feel kind of stuck.
We need to take the attitude of one of the motivational sayings that I pinned on my Motivation Pinterest board and never forget it.
I can. And I will. Watch me.
I’m so thankful that I serve a God who can do anything.
Impossible is nothing.
